Viability of nginx instead of hardware load balancer?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this (unless you meant to type 'now' 
instead of 'not'). I'm very grateful for the help given here, which has 
made me more confident that we can use nginx for the task. It's now time 
to do some testing.
