Will nginx decompress a compressed request

>From this thread on the mailing list http://forum.nginx.org/read.php?11,96472,214266 , it appears that nginx does not support decompressing HTTP request from a client. The thread however is 2 years old and am wondering if there have been any changes. I have not found any though in the documentation.
