Solr and Nginx

I’m wondering if anyone has put SOLR behind Nginx or if there might be good reasons not to put it behind Nginx. The obvious part works fine, the admin interface uses all POST which are not cached and I get all the GET requests cached which seems ok. But I’m wondering if I’m missing something that makes SOLR a bad candidate for NGINX caches.
