can subrequest be used in a handler?

Hi all,

I am new to here.

My question is: can subrequest be used in a handler?

I saw many module are using subrequest in filter, so I was wondered.

I want to developer a module which will get many picture files from backend
in parallel and combind them to one picture file and output it to browser.

Now I want to use subquest to achive it. Is that a right way?

Maybe shall I use ngx_peer_connection_t?
