[PATCH 00 of 11] SSL tests simplified

Hello!

The following patch series simplifies various SSL tests by converting
them to a common infrastructure based on IO::Socket::SSL.

In particular, this ensures that various operations are properly guarded
with timeouts and properly handle SIGPIPEs (which is important when testing
with intentionally broken malloc(), see 96:ecff5407867c).
