У меня примерно так делается

if ($http_user_agent ~
AESOP_com_SpiderMan|Alexibot|Anonymouse\.org|asterias|attach|BackDoorBot|BackWeb|Bandit|Baiduspider|BatchFTP|Bigfoot...)
return 503;
}
