Map awareness and positioning are not  something any new player has to worry  about. It's been  too long since you first started playing Dota.  The  first stretch is all  about figuring out extremely basic things. You don't need  to stick to one hero for  that. It's better to expose yourself to as many heroes as possible,  because to the  road to memorizing  432 different  abilities (not counting Invoker) is a long and hard road.
