persitance connections

Hi,

today I have canged the prio to 1 because I will try to add it ;-)

What I have thought is that it would be the best way to add it to the:

src/http/ngx_http_upstream.c

because then we would have it to all protocols.

What I don't know is:

1.) close the connection the proxy/fastcgi-module or the upstream?
2.) is there a $generic_pool_function for sockets, i assume yes because
    the connections to the browsers are 1.1 ;-)
3.) Who think also that this feature have a high prio?
