disable keepalive for internet-explorer?

Hi,

is there a way to do this in nginx:

if the browser is internet-explorer (any version), don't do keepalive?

i found the $msie variable, but the keepalive_timeout cannot be used in 
an "if()" construct.. so i do not know how to do it.
