does the newer version of nginx support variable array?

Hi All,
     can nginx op the variables like array. I mean whether i can
define a variable array, such as $array, and op array[0], array[1]。。。,
as op variable.
     I am using nginx－0.6.32. and I need the variable array in the config.
     does the 0.7.* version can manage like this? Or i have to write a
new 'array' module, ：）
