updating mime.types

Since i've been running nginx, i have updated my mime.types a bunch of
times adding new archive formats and so on. such as lha, gz, lzx, and
plenty more.

Do you accept changes to this file, or is it considered up to the user?
We could expand this somewhat., I also wonder if it might be nice if it
could use /etc/mime.types on linux (and others) as some other webservers
do ?
