syslog patch: please integrate it in the official release/source

Hello,

what is required to get the syslog patch included in the official release?
Has it ever been considered for integration already?

I am referring to this one,
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5836407/Patches/Nginx_0.8.49-syslog-support.txt,
linked from http://wiki.nginx.org/Nginx3rdPartyModules.

The patch still applies to 0.8.53 and is pending a build in my Ubuntu
PPA (https://launchpad.net/~blueyed/+archive/ppa).


btw: is there an up-to-date archive for Debian testing/experimental,
featuring the 0.8.x series? I know that I can use Ubuntu archives for
this, but still.
