Some download hangs with nginx-0.8.52

This happens only with nginx-0.8.52, not 0.7.67. It seems a little weird
and happens intermittently. 

In Firefox, when clicking download a file, it just hangs there. In nginx
logs, I can't see any indication that it's processing or even getting
the request. After clearing cache, it can be downloaded, but after a
while, it will happen again. It doesn't seem to happen in Chrome. 

Using nginx-0.8.52 with SSL and secure download module.

The other thing is access log doesn't seem to get all the requests
especially for SSL requests. Have enabled log for https server like
this:
access_log      logs/https.access.log main;

Anyone ran into similar issue?
