nginx Digest, Vol 22, Issue 60

I want to know that in nginx log format request_time sometimes may be 0.000,
so what's that meaning?
If I want to caculate brandwidth with this nginx log, which are neccesary
arguments in log file?
I think maybe there are the size of file, and the log_time.
