Internationalised nginx

Hi all,

I am considering embarking on a new project. The idea is to make a new web
space where businesses around the world can have a domain name in their own
language in their own character set representing the legal business name of
their business without any of the .com =, .org business. This would mean
being able to handle spaces in the domain name as well as perhaps using
UTF-8 for the domain names. Does anybody have any idea how major the
changes to nginx would be in order to make this work? And is there anybody
out there who would be interested in developing a patch that could do this?
And would the nginx team be willing to merge the patch with the latest code
base to help get this off the ground?

thanks in advance,
James Read
