Commits are only expected to happen on mainline branch, 1.5.x
currently, where all new features appear.

The 1.4.x branch is stable and, as per our current merge policy,
only expected to get critical bugfixes and security fixes.
(Previously, we used to merge some features as well, but this is
not expected to happen anymore, as it seems to cause more harm
than good.)
