I forgot to write about it, but I want to install wordpres on the second server in the future - hence this solution came to mind :)

direct - for starters - to the second nginx server, which will hold two simple static pages as a web server.

It's fully possible to have such a setup.

Without knowing more details it's hard to tell. What is the purpose of the proxy server? Why a static page needs to be proxed? Etc

For static content nginx is quite effective and highly performant so usually there is no need for additional layers.
