When you request http://www.pb1ag.us:8088/live/ and get a http 403,
what does the nginx error log say?

And if you don't request /live/, what url do you request?

Is it useful to add "autoindex on;" here? That would reveal information
about your directory structure, if there is no index.m3u8 file.

Incidentally, the "index" and "alias" lines here do nothing new; their
effects are the same as what is shown in the "server"-level configuration.
